Workshop Description
How can we
have a productive meeting with someone who has broken his or her commitment
to us? How do we hold them accountable and get them to honor their
commitment? That’s what this workshop is all about -- getting
uncommitted, yet capable people back on track and keeping them there. We
learn how to: 1. Assess when it is appropriate to have this meeting, how to
prepare for it and how to assure a successful outcome; 2. Identify the consequences we are willing to execute if others are not
willing to re-commit; 3. Handle emotions that result from
this process, before, during and after the meeting; 4. Lead a
discussion so that others clearly understand what we need from them; and 5.
Discuss potential obstacles that could prevent the person from
delivering what we need, and effective
ways to follow up to ensure things will get done.
